Example: they put forward cogent arguments for British membership.

Antonyms: vague, unconvincing, muddled
Envisage (verb)
تصور کرنا، گمان کرنا
"contemplate or conceive of as a possibility or a desirable future event"
Example: the Rome Treaty envisaged free movement across frontiers.
