Purport (verb)

 مفہوم، مطلب پایا جانا

"appear to be or do something, especially falsely"

Examples: 
  • The drug manufacturer knows it is against the law to purport claims about its product’s effectiveness.
  • The man used a fake badge to purport he was a law enforcement officer. 
Synonyms: claim, lay claim, profess, pretend, set oneself up (as), appear, seem, be apparently
Antonyms: deny, gainsay

Arduous (adjective) 

مشقت سے بھر پور، مشکل، کٹھن

"involving or requiring strenuous effort; difficult and tiring"

Examples:

  1. They crashed out after a long, arduous journey.
  2. The refugees made an arduous journey through the mountains.

Synonyms: onerous, taxing, difficult, hard, heavy, laborious, burdensome, strenuous, vigorous
Antonyms: easy, effortless

Stash (verb) 

گنجینہ، قیمتی چیزوں کا ذخیرہ، تجوری

"store (something) safely in a hidden or secret place"
Examples: 
  • In the basement there's no room to stash
  • You can stash your gear in here.

Terse (adjective) 

صفائی سے، مختصر

"sparing in the use of words; abrupt"

Examples:

Throttle (noun)

 گلا گھونٹنے کا عمل، حد مقرر کرنا

"attack or kill (someone) by choking or strangling them"

Perilous (adjective)

"full of danger or risk"

Expediency (noun) 

ضرورت، مفید، حکمت عملی، مصلحت

"the quality of being convenient and practical despite possibly being improper or immoral; convenience."

  • He acted from expediency, not from principle. 
Synonyms: convenience, advantage, advantageousness, usefulness, utility, benefit, profitability
Antonyms: disadvantage

Delicate (adjective) 

عمدہ، نازک، نفاست

"very fine in texture or structure; of intricate workmanship or quality"

Examples:
  • The delicate flower was broken at the stem during the first storm of the season. 
  • Most of the items in the box are delicate and should be handled with care.
Synonyms: fine, exquisite, intricate, dainty, airy, elegant, graceful, flimsy, gauzy, filmy
Antonyms: crude, coarse

Clamour (noun) 

عوامی آواز، شور، زور دار چیخ

a loud and confused noise, especially that of people shouting.

Examples:
