1) As cool as a cucumber

"If someone is as cool as a cucumber, they don't get worried by anything."
Examples:
  • My boss is as cool as a cucumber even when he speaks in front of hundreds of people. 
  • She walked in as cool as a cucumber, as if nothing had happened.
2) Have your cake and eat too

"If someone wants to have their cake and eat it too, they want everything their way, especially when their wishes are contradictory"
Examples:
  • My kids want to get great grades without studying so I've had to explain that they can't have their cake and eat it too.
  • They seem to think they can have their cake and eat it too by having excellent schools for their son without paying high taxes.

3) In a Pickle

"If you are in a pickle, you are in some trouble or a mess."
Examples:
  • Alice is definitely in a pickle as she didn't meet her last month's sales target.
  • I hate being in a pickle as it makes be frustrated and stressed.

4) Take a cake

"Be the most outstanding in some respect, either the best or the worst."
Examples:
  • You've done some nice murals, but this one takes the cake!
  • That advertising slogan really took the cake.

5) Sell like hot cakes

"If something is selling like hotcakes, it is very popular and selling very well."
Examples:
  • Copies of the book are selling like hot cakes.
  • His new video game is apparently selling like hot cakes.
