Examples:
  • I'm not saying she's a gold digger, but how come all her boyfriends have been rich?
  • He's a gold digger and has cleaned up a fortune.

3. To Walk with God

"To live in obedience to his commands, and have communion with him."
Examples:
  • He was a good, consistent walk with God.
  • He wants me to walk with God.

4. On the thin ice

"In an uncertain condition."
Examples:
  • My brother was already on thin ice with the coach when he injured his knee.
  • I'm on thin ice with my teacher because I haven't turned in my homework three times this week.

5. A queer fish

"A strange person."
Examples:
  • Your great grandfather was a queer fish, Johnny.
  • I knew his father and he was a queer fish too.
